l-r: Courtney, Ed, Chad,Tommy, Scotty, Rob C&C Sports leads Ride for Kids® Ann Arbor's 16th annual Ride for Kids® event on Sunday, Aug. 26 at Washtenaw Community College. The event attracted more than 350 people and raised over $57,000 for the PBTF. The Michigan Ride for Kids® is both a road ride and dual sport event. From rolling, wooded trails along the Huron River to wide open farmland roads, the event offered something for everyone. The fun continued at the Celebration of Life program after the ride, where nine brain tumor patients shared their stories. The Michigan event raised $57,099. Lewis and Cindy Shuler of Angola, Ind., raised $5,804 to take the top individual fundraiser honors. Cycle Conservation Club had the most club donations with $6,644, while the customers of C & C Sports of Brighton, Mich., raised $5,391 to make it the top motorcycle business. Joe Matte of Taylor, Mich., won the grand prize Honda motorcycle. Thanks for a terrific day went to the event volunteers, the dedicated task force and its leaders, Kathy and Bill Chapin, Sue and Bob Lorenz, and visitation leaders Claudia and George Ellison.
